Breast cancer affects approximately 1 in 10 women. Discovery of a breast lump is a very stressful occurrence and early detection is very important. Windsor Medical Group offer private breast care screening services and health checks. Appointments can usually be made within 3-5 days with our experienced Consultant Breast Surgeon, Mr McIntosh. Windsor Medical Group can also then carry out any necessary mammography and ultrasounds required with our associated Consultant Breast Radiologist.

One-stop breast clinic

A one-stop breast clinic for women with breast symptoms is also available. This allows clinical assessment, imaging with mammography and ultrasound and needle biopsy. Tests are reported at the time, allowing women to leave knowing that all necessary investigations have been carried out at a single visit, saving time and reducing anxiety.

Breast Reconstruction Surgery

Mr McIntosh has a special interest in breast reconstruction following mastectomy for breast cancer. This can be carried out either at the time of mastectomy, or later, as a delayed procedure. This option will always be offered to women requiring mastectomy for breast cancer treatment, and the surgical types of reconstruction discussed to allow the choice of the best treatment for an individual.
